Since my first time in *Romania​ *14 years ago, and for all of my American friends who have come here too, we all have received the same wonderfully warm welcome: many kisses, endless amounts of food, drink, and outstanding hospitality. I've watched many travel creators say the same thing when they reflect on their time spent visiting Romania. Now that I'm living here, I've become extremely interested in learning more about the history of wine in Romania and the Old World in general.

Romania's wine making heritage is as rich as its landscapes, with centuries of craftsmanship poured into every bottle. Rooted in tradition yet inspired by modern refinement, we bring the story of Romanian wine to a global audience. From the rolling Dealu Mare wine region to hidden cellars, we uncover the soul of Romania's wine culture, one tale at a time. We're not stopping here, though this will be our focus; as we travel, we'll share with our readers about other storied wine regions in Europe. Where there are stories about wine it is sure to include the food it is paired with and related travel adventures.
